1) You may briefly check your grades at www.gradeconnect.com.

2) Do Objective PS-83 Web Lesson 7 by taking notes on loose-leaf paper (number of pages will be announced) using your required low-profile clipboard. You will be using the scilinks for some research and the PH School for others. Be sure to follow the proper format for the heading and give titles and subtitles.

3) Start by going to and taking the test for Chapter 24 at PHSchool . Also use the other codes from the book or on the board.

4) Then do the SciLinks and enter the codes (or find them at My Teachers Favorites and check all of the webpages for each term listed below:

5) Try to go to all of all of the scilinks and all of the websites. There are numerous websites for each scilink. You need to look quickly at all of them and then go back and focus on several websites that are interesting, interactive, and that help you learn and become enthusiatic about the topic.

6) Use this format for your notes: a) List the title of each scilinks. b) List the title of each website visited under the scilink title. c) Give several lines of notes under each website title. d) Do not skip lines, stretch your words out, or leave wide margins. e) Underline the titles. f) diagrams don't count towards the total sides.

6) Hand-in your notes at the end of class unless advised ottherwise. Be sure to take your textbook home with you and read, study, and know Chapters 11,12, and 15. The Unit 3 Test will be during the week of March 12, 2007 and will be followed by the semester exam on March 15 or 16 on Chapters 1 to 6 and 11,12, and 15.

7) Written Homework: Be sure to do and hand-in PS-31 Workbook (WB) Section 12.3 on Monday morning at the start of class.

2) Do Objective PS-26 Web Lesson 4 by taking notes on loose-leaf paper (number of pages will be announced) using your required low-profile clipboard. You will be using the scilinks for some research and the PH School for others. Be sure to follow the proper format for the heading and give titles and subtitles.

3) Start by going to and taking the tests for Chapters 11 and 12, Enter the codes (one set at a time) for the 2 tests. The codes are at the end of each chapter and will be announced. Don't spend more than 20 minutes on this.

4) Then do the SciLinks and enter the codes (or find them at My Teachers Favorites and check all of the webpages for each term listed below:

Friday, January 19, 2007 - Web Lesson 1

 

1) Go to www.gradeconnect.com and sign on to your Physical Science. Follow the instructions on the handout page.

2) Register for Scilinks. Follow the instructions. Go to www.scilinks.org

3) Do Objective PS-02 by taking notes on loose-leaf paper (number of pages will be announce) using your required clipboard. You will be using the scilinks for some research and the PH School for others. The codes for these links appear on the foolowing pages in your text: 5, 9, 15, 23, 27, 35, 42, 50, 55, 59 and at the end of each Chapter. Follow the given ones first and if youi have time do the ones that you choose from those pages.

4) Start by going to PHSchool and taking the tests for Chapters 1, 2, 3. Enter the codes (one set at a time) for the 3 tests (the codes are on pages 30, 64, and 96. You should know Chapters 1 and 2 but also try Chapter 3 which you will be taking next week.

5) Then do the SciLinks on Pages 42 and 55.

6) Spend the entire classtime with the websites.

7) Hand-in your notes at the end of class

COMPUTER USAGE RULES

 

1) Keep all classroom rules, especially - no talking and no leaving your seat without permission and the Computer Use Guidelines for St. Joseph High School.

2) Do not change any screen savers, backgrounds, or settings.

3) Do not save any files on the computer without permission.

4) Do not use CD's or download or upload files using flash memory or diskettes without the teacher's permission.

5) Do not use the printer for this class unless the teacher gives permission to do so. Assignments are normally handwritten on loose-leaf paper.

6) Use sound only as needed and with the permission of the teacher. If you have earphones and play your CD music, you are breaking a school rules and those items must be taken from you and turned in to the school office.

7) Do not play games (except for any games you may find in the assignment) on the computer.

8) Do not go to any other websites without permission. If you go to the wrong site by mistake and it is has inappropriate material on it, inform the teacher at once.

9) No email is to be sent (except as requested by the teacher). Do not use instant messengers or go to any newsgroups. If the teacher requests to view your computer history, do not resist.

10) Use all of your time using the computer while you are in the computer room. Go back and go more into depth for your assignment if you think you are finished.
